BROOKLYNSTYLISTA: Styling Leather Shorts in Early Fall/Autumn

Shorts are some of my favorite things to wear in any season because I find them to be very comfy and care free. I love love love love shorts. In the winter you may catch me wearing shorts with a pair of tights, leg warmers and knee high boots. In the Spring and Fall season, you will definitely see me in a pair of shorts with some cool panty hose, a pair of loafers or some ankle boots. In the summer I love to wear a pair of shorts with any oversized graphic tee or an oversized chiffon top, and a pair of flats or wedges.

All of the outfits that are showcased here can be worn with a pair of tights or panty hose if it gets a little chilly. Enjoy :)

LOOK I

In this outfit, I am paring my leather shorts with a powerful white blazer. I love this blazer so much and ladies do not be afraid to wear your post labor day whites with pride. My sister calls my shoes the halloween shoes but I love them because they always make a powerful statement with the outfits that I rock them with. I am paring the outfit with simple accessories because I wanted my shoes and the blazer to make the statement that I am trying to make with this outfit. My clutch is very basic.

LOOK II

In my second look, I wanted my faux fur vest and my spiked and studded shoes to make the statement. Again I am keeping the accessories simple. This outfit also shows how I mix and match my accessories with different outfits, for example the clutch. I am wearing a leather jacket with my leather shorts. I added the faux fur vest on top of the jacket to kind of soften the whole leather theme that I have going on here. Too much leather may look too harsh sometimes. While the vest keeps the outfit soft and sweet, the shoes adds some edge to the outfit.

LOOK III

In my third and final look, I am keeping the clothing items very simple and I am making my statements with the accessories. I love to pair my shorts with a nice chunky or cut out sweater. The sweather that I am wearing has some cut outs but it may be very difficult to spot them because I am wearing a black cami underneath the sweater. This is one of those sweaters that I like to throw on when I am just lazy and I don't feel like putting a complicated outfit together. I am wearing a long necklace, a red belt with gold detailing, red shoes and a black and white clutch. This is a very simple outfit.
